Finding your size, understanding alterations and caring for your ring.
How do I find my ring size?
CIELA uses UK ring sizes. Start with our ring size guide; if you print the guide, use 100% scale. An existing ring should fit the same finger on the same hand. A professional measurement is the most reliable option, especially for a close-fitting or wider band.
What if I am between sizes?
Band width and ring shape can change how a size feels, so there is no single rule that suits every design. Check the fit when your hands are at a normal temperature: the ring should sit comfortably and pass over the knuckle with slight resistance. If you are between sizes, ask us about the particular ring before ordering.
Can this ring be resized?
Resizing depends on the design, metal and setting. Some eternity rings, full pavé bands and gemstone-set designs have limited options. Please contact CIELA before ordering an unusual size or arranging any alteration, so we can check what is possible and confirm any costs and timing.
How should I wear and care for my ring?
Remove it before lifting weights, household chores, swimming, showering and sleep. Avoid letting neighbouring rings rub against the setting or stones. Wipe gently with a clean, soft cloth and store it separately. If a stone or setting feels loose, stop wearing the ring and contact us.
Are the diamonds certified and the metal hallmarked?
CIELA centre diamonds of 0.50ct and above are supplied with an IGI grading report. This threshold applies to each centre diamond, not the total diamond weight of the piece or pair. Each report covers the specified diamond, rather than every smaller stone in the jewellery. Precious-metal jewellery is independently assayed and hallmarked where required.

When will my order be dispatched?
Check the estimate beside the Add to Cart button for your selected piece. For orders outside the inclusive UK delivery commitment, ready In Stock jewellery can leave in as little as 1–2 working days; pieces awaiting UK hallmarking usually need 10–15 working days. Made to Order pieces generally need 4–5 weeks.
For UK orders of in-stock pieces with UK hallmarking complete, delivery is within 2 working days of placing the order, including preparation, dispatch and transport; no additional dispatch period is added. For other pieces and destinations, these are preparation times before dispatch. The product-specific estimate takes priority; delivery time follows separately.
Is delivery complimentary?
Yes. UK delivery is complimentary with no minimum spend. UK delivery is complimentary via Royal Mail Special Delivery, with full tracking and signature on delivery. In-stock pieces with UK hallmarking complete are delivered within 2 working days of placing the order, including preparation, dispatch and transport. For other pieces, the product-specific preparation estimate applies, followed by an estimated 3 working days for UK delivery after dispatch.
Delivery is also complimentary to available destinations in Europe and North America. Estimated delivery after dispatch is 3 working days for Europe and 5 working days for other available international destinations. CIELA covers applicable import duties and import taxes. You will not be charged these separately at checkout or on delivery. Available destinations are shown at checkout.
What if my ring does not fit?
You can request a return for your ring within 45 calendar days of signed-for delivery. Returns are free worldwide. CIELA arranges and covers return shipping and any required return customs or clearance charges when you use the return method we provide or approve. Royal Mail home collection is available in the UK.
Our 45-day returns policy applies to all products, including standard Made to Order, personalised, engraved, resized and bespoke pieces and earrings. Your rights if an item is faulty, damaged or not as described are unaffected.
Selecting a standard size or metal offered on the product page does not by itself make a ring bespoke. For another size, return the eligible original for a refund and place a new order; we do not offer direct exchanges.

Can I add a gift box and a personal message?
Each item can have its own complimentary CIELA gift box, or you may combine items in one box if they fit safely. A personalised greeting card is also complimentary. Select the services on the product page and review them in your cart. Your card can include a photo, a message of up to 200 characters, or both.
