01 THE FIRST IDEA
A familiar shape,
reconsidered.
Heart-shaped jewellery is familiar, sentimental and instantly recognisable. But precisely because it is so familiar, creating something that feels refined rather than conventional requires restraint.

02 THE HEART OF THE DESIGN
Choosing the heart.
With a heart-shaped diamond, beauty is determined by more than carat weight. The balance of its curves, the gentle definition of its cleft and the position of its point all influence how graceful the finished stone appears.
For the Always Yours Necklace, I selected a 1.00ct D/VVS2 lab-grown diamond not only for its colour and clarity, but for its symmetry, proportions and brilliance. Every element needed to feel balanced, allowing the familiar heart shape to appear refined, modern and quietly expressive.

03 THE DEFINING DETAIL
Designing light
into the chain.
The chain began with a simple question: how could it make the diamond feel even more luminous without making the necklace more decorative or complex?
THE STARTING POINT
Trace chain
A conventional trace chain felt too familiar and visually quiet.
EXPLORING STRUCTURE
Traditional mariner
A more traditional mariner-style chain, with its shorter and rounder proportions, introduced greater structure, but risked making the necklace feel heavier and busier than I intended.
THE CHOSEN DIRECTION
Elongated & faceted
From the beginning, I imagined the mariner link differently—elongated to create a lighter, more open rhythm, with polished facets that could reflect light across changing angles.
Proportion.
Movement.
Light.
As the wearer moves, each surface catches and releases the light in turn, allowing a subtle shimmer to travel along the neckline. The brilliance no longer comes from the heart-shaped diamond alone; it continues through the chain, making the entire necklace feel alive.
Yet the elongated proportions and open spaces keep the design visually light. It does not rely on additional diamonds or unnecessary ornament to create a sense of luxury. Its presence comes from proportion, movement and light.
The result is a necklace that appears simple, but is never ordinary—radiant in motion, luxurious without excess and deliberately restrained.
04 THE MATERIAL
The warmth
of rose gold.
Solid 9ct rose gold was chosen for its warmth. Its soft blush tone complements the romantic symbolism of the heart while keeping the necklace contemporary and easy to wear.
Against the skin, the warmth of the rose gold softens the brilliance of the diamond, creating a piece that feels special without being reserved only for special occasions.

The meaning behind

“Always Yours” is not only a romantic message exchanged between two people. It can also be a quiet reminder that something meaningful may be chosen for yourself—to mark a chapter, a decision or simply the person you have become.
