About your earrings
Understanding the pair, the proportions and the finishing details.
Are these earrings sold as a pair or individually?
Check the Sold as information, product description and selected option. A pair contains two earrings; a single earring contains one. If the quantity is not stated clearly for your selected piece, please contact CIELA before placing your order.
Does the carat weight refer to one earring or the pair?
Look for each, per earring or total in the product details. For example, two earrings with a 1.00ct diamond each have a combined diamond weight of 2.00ct. Where a design also has accent diamonds, check the centre-stone and total weights separately.
How can I check the size and fastening?
Compare the stated dimensions with earrings you already wear. For huggies and hoops, the inner diameter helps you judge clearance around the lobe; for drops, check the overall length. Fastenings vary by design. Contact us if a measurement or closure detail is missing, and keep the hygiene seal intact while deciding whether to keep your earrings.
How should I care for my earrings?
Remove them before showering, swimming, exercise and sleep. Keep perfume, hairspray and cosmetics away from the metal and stones. Wipe gently with a clean, soft cloth and store the earrings separately to prevent scratches. Check that the backs or clasps are secure each time you wear them.
Are the diamonds certified and the metal hallmarked?
Certification is included where stated in the product details. An IGI report describes the specific diamond it covers; it does not automatically cover every smaller stone in the piece. Precious-metal jewellery is independently assayed and hallmarked where required.

When will my order be dispatched?
Check the estimate beside the Add to Cart button for your selected piece. In Stock jewellery that is ready can leave in as little as 1–2 working days; pieces awaiting UK hallmarking usually need 10–15 working days. Made to Order pieces generally need 4–5 weeks.
These are preparation times before dispatch. The product-specific estimate takes priority; delivery time follows separately.
Is delivery complimentary?
Yes. UK delivery is complimentary with no minimum spend, using Royal Mail Special Delivery. Arrival is usually the next working day after dispatch, subject to the carrier’s service conditions.
Delivery is also complimentary to available destinations in Europe and North America. DHL transit is estimated at around 10 working days after dispatch. Applicable import duties and taxes are included at checkout. Available destinations are shown at checkout.
Can I return my earrings?
You can request a return for eligible earrings within 30 calendar days of delivery. Eligible UK returns are free, with Royal Mail home collection available. International change-of-mind return postage and related customs charges are the customer’s responsibility.
Keep the hygiene seal intact. Change-of-mind returns are not accepted after the tamper-evident seal has been removed, where the hygiene exception applies.
Standard Made to Order pieces remain eligible under our normal returns conditions. Personalised, engraved, specially resized and bespoke pieces are excluded from change-of-mind returns. Your rights if an item is faulty, damaged or not as described are unaffected.

Can I add a gift box and a personal message?
A complimentary CIELA gift box upgrade and personalised greeting card are available for eligible pieces. Select the services on the product page and review them in your cart. Your card can include a photo, a message of up to 200 characters, or both.
