About your pendant
Choosing a chain and making the piece your own.
Does the pendant come with a chain?
A piece described as pendant only is supplied without a chain. A chain is included only where the product description or selected option explicitly says so. Please check what is included before ordering; a chain shown in a styling photograph may be for presentation.
Can I wear it on a chain I already own?
Compatibility depends on the pendant’s bail—the loop that holds the chain—and the chain’s width, end fittings and strength. The clasp or end fitting must also pass through the opening. Please contact CIELA with the chain measurements if you would like us to check; avoid forcing a chain through the bail.
How do I choose a suitable chain?
Choose a chain with enough strength for the pendant’s weight and fittings that pass through its bail comfortably. Compare the chain length with one you already wear to judge where the pendant will sit. If you need help matching the metal, chain style or proportions, contact us with the name of your pendant.
How should I care for a diamond or gemstone pendant?
Remove it before showering, swimming, exercise and sleep, and keep it away from perfume and household chemicals. Wipe gently with a clean, soft cloth and store separately. Cleaning methods depend on the stone and setting; contact us for advice before using chemical, ultrasonic or steam cleaning.
Are the diamonds certified and the metal hallmarked?
Certification is included where stated in the product details. An IGI report describes the specific diamond it covers; it does not automatically cover every smaller stone in the piece. Precious-metal jewellery is independently assayed and hallmarked where required.

When will my order be dispatched?
Check the estimate beside the Add to Cart button for your selected piece. In Stock jewellery that is ready can leave in as little as 1–2 working days; pieces awaiting UK hallmarking usually need 10–15 working days. Made to Order pieces generally need 4–5 weeks.
These are preparation times before dispatch. The product-specific estimate takes priority; delivery time follows separately.
Is delivery complimentary?
Yes. UK delivery is complimentary with no minimum spend, using Royal Mail Special Delivery. Arrival is usually the next working day after dispatch, subject to the carrier’s service conditions.
Delivery is also complimentary to available destinations in Europe and North America. DHL transit is estimated at around 10 working days after dispatch. Applicable import duties and taxes are included at checkout. Available destinations are shown at checkout.
Can I return my pendant?
You can request a return for an eligible pendant within 30 calendar days of delivery. Eligible UK returns are free, with Royal Mail home collection available. International change-of-mind return postage and related customs charges are the customer’s responsibility.
Standard Made to Order pieces remain eligible under our normal returns conditions. Personalised, engraved, specially resized and bespoke pieces are excluded from change-of-mind returns. Your rights if an item is faulty, damaged or not as described are unaffected.

Can I add a gift box and a personal message?
A complimentary CIELA gift box upgrade and personalised greeting card are available for eligible pieces. Select the services on the product page and review them in your cart. Your card can include a photo, a message of up to 200 characters, or both.
